My favorite part of my job is meeting with people to understand where they are in the sales process and peeling back the onion to get to the heart of a solution. I advise prospects to ask questions and be open to change—to look for a strategic partner and not a transactional one. At first blush they may choose Unitex because of price, but they quickly realize that we can clean up all matters of competitor service shortfalls as well. My relationships are built on a foundation of excellent service and significant savings.
The greatest challenge I encounter in my role as a sales rep is not being able to help a prospective customer because they don’t think they have the time to deal with the laundry program challenges. These missed opportunities to help someone can be frustrating.
I like building relationships as I am selling myself as much as I am selling Unitex, and that brings a sense of authenticity and integrity to the process of developing strong and lasting relationships.
I grew up in Rutherford, NJ on a quiet treelined suburb of NY in the shadows of Giant stadium. Currently I live in Rockaway, NJ which is a great place to raise a family. I went to Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City, NJ for both my undergraduate and MBA/MIS graduate degrees. When I’m not at work I spend time with family and friends having BBQs, sitting around the fire pit, singing karaoke, jogging, and playing guitar. My side hustle is being a multi-unit Jersey Mike’s franchise owner. I love the subs and watching my son run the business with myself and my brother behind the scenes.
