Hartford, CT, February 18, 2014– Unitex, a regional business with locations throughout the Northeast (including Hartford), and a leader in the healthcare laundry industry, is supporting the Grace Academy, Hartford’s only free, private middle school for girls, serving the neediest neighborhoods in the city and providing its students with a safe, caring and academically rigorous environment.
Unitex recently made a generous contribution towards the Grace Academy’s technology department by helping the school purchase wireless keyboards for the iPads used by students. The donation comes at the perfect time as the academy recently completed their technological expansion.

Unitex is also sponsoring the Grace Academy Benefit at the Autorino Great Hall of The Bushnell in May. Proceeds from the event will benefit Grace Academy’s mission-to prepare girls from Hartford (who qualify for the Federal Free- and Reduced-Lunch program) for an independent school education, thus breaking the cycle of urban poverty through education.
In addition to the Grace Academy, Unitex also supports the Hartford PAL and other local organizations.
