Mt. Vernon, January 8, 2015– Unitex, a regional business with locations throughout the Northeast and a leader in the healthcare laundry industry, is an advocate for giving back. Widely known for supporting local schools and community programs in the Northeast where they operate laundry-processing facilities, Unitex helped make a difference this holiday season by spreading cheer throughout various organizations.
Unitex brought smiles to children at the Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey with a special holiday extravaganza. Presents for all ages and a card-making project were some of the activities on the holiday party agenda.
And for a second year in a row, Unitex was pleased to support the Hartford Police Athletic League (PAL) to bring cheer to local children. With Unitex’s generous donation, children of all ages were given special holiday presents distributed by Santa.
“We are excited to work these great organizations this holiday season,” said David Potack, Vice President of Unitex. “We believe that it is important to give back throughout the year, but the holiday season is extra special for children and being able to put smiles on their faces is worth all the effort.”
Unitex also brought holiday cheer and generosity to Safe Harbors of the Hudson. Based in Newburgh, New York, Safe Harbors helps to better build communities through housing and the arts. Unitex sponsored the organization’s annual Christmas breakfast, providing a home cooked meal to over 100 residents.
